For nearly two decades, Dave Putz has been immersed in real estate investing. In 2010 — after years of managing rentals and rehabs, and tired of chasing rent and maintenance — he moved into mortgage notes. He cut his teeth at a large private equity fund analyzing non-performing notes, then left to build JKP Holdings: a Jackson, NJ private equity fund focused on residential defaulted notes nationwide, with a win-win goal of keeping homeowners in their homes while earning strong returns.
